About the Instructor

 Stratford Hall Preparatory

A six-week SAT program designed to raise scores and build confidence.

About the Instructor

Mrs. Celia Asbury scored 1560 on the SAT (99th percentile), including a perfect 800 in Math.

She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Statistics and English.

Celia has been tutoring online since 2022 and focuses on helping students strengthen the underlying math, English, and strategy skills required for high SAT performance.

Her teaching emphasizes clear explanations, strategic thinking, and disciplined practice rather than short-term “test tricks.”

Celia was reared in and currently lives in the Charlotte area. She attended Myers Park High School. Her own SAT performance helped her gain admission to seven universities and earn more than $450,000 in scholarship offers.

This experience informs her commitment to helping students use strong SAT scores to expand their academic opportunities.

Instructor's Note

Instructor's Note

Achieving a strong SAT score is a team effort between the instructor, student, and parent.

I provide structured lessons and coaching. Students are expected to participate fully and maintain consistent study habits, while parents help ensure their student has:

  • reliable internet access for online sessions

  • appropriate technology (tablet or 2-in-1 laptop with stylus)

  • transportation to and from the official SAT testing center

  • a healthy routine including adequate sleep during the program

I am very passionate about helping students prepare for the SAT and a successful future!

Most people think it’s just “studying for the SAT” but there are two essential components: studying knowledge and then developing speed. We will do both!

During bootcamp (Weeks 1 & 2), we cover the foundational math and English knowledge needed for the SAT. Then during clinics (Weeks 3, 4, 5, & 6), we refine and apply that knowledge with speed, agility, and confidence.
